The Pro Bono Counseling Project (PBCP) is a partner organization of the Baltimore Neighbors Network (BNN), a virtual community of trained volunteers established to provide an immediate response to the epidemic of loneliness and isolation COVID-19 is creating for Baltimore’s most vulnerable residents. PBCP Executive Director Amy Greensfelder co-authored an article recently published in the Journal of Public Health Nursing entitled “Service learning in public health nursing education: How COVID-19 accelerated community-academic partnership.”  The article documents how the BNN and the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing were able to collaborate to provide essential services to the community.
