Course Description: This session will consist of a didactic overview of the impact of social connections on health followed by an interactive dialogue between the speaker and participants. An emphasis will be placed on older adults and the current context of the coronavirus pandemic.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this presentation, the participant will:

• Describe the current state of the evidence of social isolation on older adults

• Discuss the intersection of social isolation and health

• Assess strategic opportunities to address social isolation

• Discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with connecting, aging, and COVID-19
