Through culturally sensitive approaches like embodiment, authentic use of self, and grassroots strategies, therapists can foster self-determination and collective healing for African American women.

  • Describe the unique stressors Black women face along with effective ways to address the physical and psychological toll they can take.
  • Explain 5 effective clinical strategies that celebrate Black culture and destigmatize mental health issues to improve clinical outcomes for African American women
  • Explore the relevance and utility of grassroots approaches to inspire self-determination and collective healing among African American women.
