Course Description: The space is provided to gain understanding about how the racism in the United States has impacted individual practitioners and workers in health and human service. Exploring internalized inferiority and superiority, each practitioner leaves with the tools to chart personal and professional healing from this collective trauma and apply these practices in their role for community wellbeing.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this presentation, the participant will:

1. Explain difference between European worldview and Eastern/African worldview

2. Discuss the impact of the Eurocentric worldview on mental health systems and clinical practice

3. Describe the 4 ways concepts of superiority and inferiority show up systemically

4. Identify how these concepts impact individual clinical practice and effectiveness
