Baltimore, MD, Feb. 6, 2023 – Pro Bono Counseling today announced Executive Director Amy Greensfelder, LMSW, was selected for The Leadership Class of 2023 Flagship Program. Amy joins 63 other nonprofit, public, and private organization leaders from the Baltimore area participating in the 9-month program.
“I am honored to have been chosen for this developmental program,” stated Pro Bono Counseling Executive Director Amy Greensfelder. “I look forward to collaborating with the diverse members of our cohort to grow and become an even more effective civic leader for the Baltimore region and entire state of Maryland.”
The Leadership Flagship Program is an experiential leadership program that develops participants in three areas:
- Deepening their understanding of Baltimore’s history, challenges, assets, and people
- Strengthening their capacity to lead, particularly in a civic context
- Forging substantive relationships to build a network for collective action
The 64 leaders enrolled in the Class of 2023 will join more than 1,800 alumni who have preceded them.

Pro Bono Counseling is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization that links Marylanders experiencing difficulty accessing mental health care with volunteer licensed counselors and other resources. Since its founding in 1991, PBC has helped over 30,000 individuals and families throughout Maryland connect with volunteer counselors and obtain the mental health care they could not otherwise afford. Presently, Pro Bono Counseling has over 850 volunteer clinicians all over the state of Maryland who give over 10,000 hours of their time each year.
